The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle, Arthur Conan Doyle

“My name is Sherlock Holmes. It is my business to know what other people do not know.”
– Sherlock Holmes
Welcome to day 8 of my 12 Reads of Christmas series, where I’m posting a things I like to read over the festive period every day from Christmas Day until Twelfth Night (6 January). Back to some classic crime fiction for day 8 with #7 of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
Set in the days following Christmas, this is an excellent festive leap into Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Sherlock Holmes. As one of the 56 short stories Conan Doyle wrote about his famous detective, this is also a nice short read so I’d recommend it for those wanting to start reading some classic crime but don’t want anything too daunting.
Today is also 1 January 2020! So happy new year!
Maybe this post can inspire you to step out of your reading comfort zone this year? Comment below your reading plans for the new year, and may this year bring you all the books you are hoping for.
